It has been a long time since I've updated my blog!
We all know FCAT is coming up NEXT WEEK! Please be sure to get a good night sleep (which you should be doing every night) and eat breakfast (which you should do everyday).
Sixth grade students must take the Reading portion on a computer so this year's schedule will be slightly different. Sixth graders will be in their homeroom all day Monday-Thursday next week and all of those days are early release days.
Ms. Corsons homeroom will have Math sections 1 & 2 on Monday, NOTHING ON TUESDAY FOR MS.CORSON'S HOMEROOM, WEDNESDAY NOTHING FOR MS. CORSONS HOMEROOM, Thursday Reading section 1 in the morning (then back in Corsons room), Friday Reading section 2 in the afternoon. Every 6th grade homeroom has a different schedule so please consult your 1st period teacher.

Cell Model Project
CELL MODEL PROJECT
Deadline: Friday 9/30/2011
Using the 6th grade science book, worksheets, and internet, design a plant or animal cell model. The model should be 3-D (or at least not just a drawing on poster board), and all of the parts should be clearly labeled and structurally as accurately as possible. You WILL be explaining each organelle and its function during the presentation so be sure to write each organelle and its function on a separate sheet of paper.
The goal of this project is to design a model that represents how the cell functions and displays the important parts of the cell. You will present your project in the class, so make sure you understand your model and how the various cell organelles work. Some ideas – use recycled materials. No need to purchase materials for this project.
| ΓΌ | ΓΌ use a shoebox or any other pre-formed shape that is useful – old basketball sawed in half, plastic gallon milk carton, cereal box , Styrofoam | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
